Boots beauty purchases

Sanctuary Spa Hot Cloth Cleanser // Bourjois Blue No Blues // Bourjois Rouge Edition Lipstick in Rose Tweed // Bourjois Bronzing Powder // Natural Collection eyeliner in Soft Brown
Over the past few days I haven't been feeling all that well so I thought I would treat myself to a few new beauty bits to put a smile back on  my face! Since running out of my No 7 hot cloth cleanser, my skin seems to have been suffering, so I thought it was about time I introduced one back into my skin care routine. Unfortunately I couldn't find the No 7 hot cloth cleanser in store so I picked up the Sanctuary version instead which had been from £10.50 (I think) to around £6.99 - can't remember exactly but it was a good bargain! I think this cleanser will be just as good as the No 7 version and I can't say I have ever had any problems with Sanctuary Spa products before.

The next thing I picked up was this gorgeous nail polish from Bourjois. I had seen it on a few beauty Youtubers' videos and knew I had to add it to my collection. It is such a beautiful bright blue colour and has the gel finish that everyone is currently loving. I love how it comes with quite a wide brush as it makes it so much easier to apply the polish. It also happens to be the perfect shade to go with the dress I have bought for a wedding I am attending next weekend.

The lovely Amy from A Little Boat Sailing featured the Bourjois Rouge Edition lipstick in Peche Cosy on her blog a few days ago and I instantly wanted it. Unfortunately it had sold out at the Boots I went to, so instead I swatched a few of the other shades and ended up falling in love with 04 Tweed Pink. It is a gorgeous pink shade as you can see from the swatch below. I would describe as a classic vintage pink. The formula is really creamy and moisturising, making it very easy to apply.

I've wanted the Bourjois 'chocolate bronzer' for so, so long and I have finally got my hands on it. The packaging is adorable and I love the sweet smell of the powder. I haven't had chance to try this out yet, but I have very high expectations of its quality after reading about it on other blogs.

The final items I picked up were a Natural Collection eyeliner pencil and the Collection 2000 lasting perfection concealer (forgot to photograph). The eyeliner was so cheap at just £1.99 and does the job just perfectly. I wanted a soft brown eyeliner for the days when I want a more natural look.

The Collection 2000 lasting perfection concealer is just as amazing as the big beauty bloggers and vloggers say it is. I currently have a few blemishes on my chin from a bad breakout, but you can hardly even tell when I have this concealer on under my No 7 Essentially Natural foundation. I went for the shade 'light' as they didn't have fair,  but it matches my skin very well. The formula is really soft making it really easy to apply. I tend to buff it into the skin using my Real Techniques buffing brush.

So there we have it...my mini-boots haul! Hope you enjoyed the read :) let me know if you have tried any of these products and what you think of them below in the comments! xo

PS Bourjois items are on three for two in boots at the moment! Such a good deal!

    1. Thanks Rosie! I'll do a review post on the Sanctuary Hot Cloth Cleanser once I've tried it out. In the mean time if you search for reviews for hot cloth cleanser there's quite a lot out there which will probably provide you with more info about them :)! Some of the most popular ones are Liz Earle, No 7 and Soap and Glory xo

  6. I hope you're feeling better now lovely :) look forward to your review of the hot cloth cleanser - I've never tried one, and I'm getting on great with the L'oreal Micellar! The blue shade is lovely, how lucky it matches your outfit for the wedding! I love the look of the Tweed Pink shade, I'm not really one for lip products or lipsticks as my lips are endlessly dry no matter what I put on them to try and soothe them, but I definitely have to go swatch this and see it for myself :) xx

    1. Thanks Hannah, I am definitely on the mend. Glad to hear that you are enjoying using the Micellar water! It's definitely one of my favourite products at the moment. The lipstick is really moisturising but I still need to use a lip scrub and balm before I apply it. xo

I think you have made me want to pick up Tweed Pink now, what a lovely colour that is and I think that will be a lovely shade for the transition into autumn.
