Although it has only been a week since I last published a blog post, it feels like a whole lot longer! Since getting back from Woolacombe a couple of weeks ago, I seem to have been super busy with work, which is definitely a good thing in my eyes. Anyway I thought I'd do a little 'life catch up' for those interested. If you prefer fashion and beauty related content, you will be pleased to know that I am back to regular posting this week, so keep an eye out for a perfume review, outfit post and wedding guest wishlist.
Megan Jane Copywriting
Although I write blog posts here on Seek My Scribbles for fun, I also work professionally as a copywriter. This involves writing articles, blog posts and website content for various different companies. In the last couple of months I have created a website for my copywriting business along with a Twitter account and Facebook page. After doing a little promoting I have found a few new clients to add to my books, which I am so very pleased about! I love the fact that I get to work with new people and on new projects every week.
Megan Jane Jewellery
As most of you know I have been making jewellery for about three years now and it is still something that I very much enjoy doing in my spare time. Last night I attended a summer party at a pub in Teversal and had such a fabulous time. I was lucky enough to be given the chance to sell my jewellery whilst I was there and had a very successful night! The most popular pieces were my daisy and rose earrings, along with my doll house jewellery pieces. I met so many lovely people, including Ellie from Unique Love Style. Tonight I am spending the evening uploading a few new pieces so be sure to check them out! I have also recently surpassed the 500 'likes' milestone on my Facebook page and 1000 followers on twitter, so I am thinking another giveaway is in order to thank you all for your support! Look out for it in the next week or so. :)
Aside from working I have also been spending time with family (both mine and my boyfriend's) and I am attending my first ever wedding in a couple of weeks (hence the wedding guest wishlist I am planning.) It is also my mum and dad's 30th wedding anniversary on the 20th August so I have a rather special cake to bake. There will be a whole blog post dedicated to the cake. I'm hoping it'll be that good....hahahaa.
Hope you've enjoyed the catch up. It's good to just sit down with a cup of tea and talk work and life rather than fashion and beauty sometimes. xo
