Rimmel London Match Perfection Foundation review

When it comes to makeup, we all have at least one product that we struggle with and for me it’s foundation. Over the last few years I have used a number of different foundations but simply couldn’t find one that I liked. Despite picking up what I believed to be light shades, they would all end up being a little too dark and orangey. Basically I didn’t really realise how pale my skin was and I guess until that happened I wasn’t ever going to find the perfect shade.

That all changed when I picked up the Rimmel Match Perfection foundation to try. After testing out 010 light porcelain, I realised it was the perfect match for my colouring. Not only is the shade perfect for my skin tone, but the formula is a dream. In the past I have had trouble with foundations either looking too dewy or too drying and powdery, but for me the Rimmel Match Perfection foundation creates the perfect balance. According to Rimmel they use ‘Sapphire Radiance for a radiant glow’ and whilst I have no idea what that is, it sure does the trick.

What I love about this foundation is that although it makes your skin look healthy and radiant, it doesn’t look unnatural. It is very light on the skin, yet still offers fairly good coverage and lasts all day. Whilst it doesn’t make my skin look completely flawless (I do still have to cover up prominent blemishes with concealer) it does everything I would expect a good foundation to do!

On top of all the benefits I’ve explained, the Rimmel Foundation also has SPF 18 and a lovely fresh scent. I usually apply it with my Real Techniques miracle complexion sponge (review coming soon) and then go over it with my Real Techniques buffing brush. I am so, so happy to have finally found a foundation that 1) suits my pale skin tone and 2) leaves a natural yet radiant glow and for just £6.99 you can’t go wrong! xo
