|Toni & Guy Casual Sculpting Powder - £7.49 @ Boots|
Toni & Guy claim their Sculpting Powder 'combats grease and creates volume and shape with a matte finish.' To use it, you simply twist the lid and shake a little powder directly onto the roots of your hair. You can then work your fingers through it and back comb your hair (if you wish to) to give it volume and extra body.
Giving the hair 'umph'
As a volumising and texturising hair product, it's a real dream! Although it feels a little odd when you first work it into your hair, it definitely does the job of giving it 'umph' and offering a light, natural hold. From using this dust-like powder, I've found that a little goes a long way, which is a good job since I've caught my boyfriend using it to style his hair too!
Where I'm still a little on the fence is when it comes to combating grease. It's definitely not on par with a dry shampoo, though it does somewhat mattify the hair. I have the sort of hair that gets greasy after one day (I'm never happy with day 2 hair) and I couldn't use this product to get it to a state where I'd be happy going out without washing it, like I can with dry shampoo.
It definitely gives clean hair a more desirable 'lived in' texturised look and is great for adding volume, but for tackling grease, there are far better (and cheaper) products available.
If you have fine hair or simply want to give your hair a more volumised look, I highly recommend giving the sculpting powder a go! Seeing as I only purchased this product for it's volumising and texturising qualities, I've been more than satisfied with the results and will definitely repurchase.
