I didn't do an August favourites at the end of last month as there weren't any products that really stood out to me, so instead I thought I'd share my holiday makeup favourites. Whilst I didn't bother with makeup in the day time, I did enjoy using these products every evening when we went out for dinner and cocktails in Pefkos.
Balance Me BB cream
First up we have the wonderful Balance Me BB Cream. If you've read my review of this product, you'll already know how much I loved it. My skin was so good on holiday (it's crappy again now I'm back in the UK) so I didn't need a lot of this, I just used it to even out my skin tone a little.
HD Brows kit
I love, love, love the HD brows kit. I tend to get my Real Techniques brow brush and create my own blend with the two brown shades and sometimes add a little of the darkest shade for extra definition. My friend Liz also used the brown shades as eyeshadows, so this proved to be a very versatile little palette on holiday!
Miss Sporty clear mascara
This is one of my makeup bag staples on holiday and in the UK. It's perfect for setting your brows with.
Benefit They're Real mascara
My sample of Benefit's They're Real mascara has finally run out! I used the last of it on holiday. It is a great mascara, particularly for lengthening the lashes. I'm tempted to buy it in full size, but for a couple of pounds extra I could get the Yves Saint Laurent False Lash Effect mascara - another of my favourites, so it's a tough decision!
Rimmel eyeshadow stick in Rose Gold
When I was filling my makeup bag to take to Greece, I knew there was only one eye shadow I needed - the Rimmel London eyeshadow stick in Rose Gold. This is the easiest eyeshadow product to use and it has excellent staying power. The shade is so pretty and so, so versatile. I'm just in desperate need of a bigger sharpener as unfortunately it's not a wind up product!
Rimmel Exaggerate eyeliner
My go to eye makeup always involves eyeliner flicks and I find the Rimmel Exaggerate eyeliner one of the easiest liquid eyeliners to use. I know there are so many different eyeliner products on the market that claim to make cat flicks easier, but sometimes I think it's best to just stick to the basics and go for a good old liquid liner and brush.
Mac See Sheer
I think Mac See Sheer is one of the most versatile lipsticks I own. It literally went with all of my holiday outfits. On my lips it produces the most perfect orangey red shade, great for brightening up makeup looks. It is a lustre, so it glides on smoothly and feels lovely on the lips. It isn't sheer, but it isn't opaque and that's just how I like my lipsticks, especially in the summer time.
Bourjois cream blush in Nude Velvet
Like with the Mac lipstick, the Bourjois cream blush in Nude Velvet is so versatile that I ended up wearing it all week! It adds a subtle wash of colour to the cheeks to give you a healthy glow. I like how it has a cream to powder formula, as I find it applies easily and has great lasting power.
So there we have my holiday makeup favourites! Have you used any of these products before?
