New makeup purchases | Mini birthday haul

Maybelline Color Drama lipstick, YSL mascara, Bourjois cream blush makeup purchases

Last weekend I went on a little shopping trip and decided to treat myself to a few new makeup items with my birthday money. As you can see I didn't go crazy, but I did end up purchasing a few new items of clothing too, which I'll show you in future outfit posts!

The first thing that caught my eye in Boots was the Maybelline Color Drama lip pencils. I had seen them on Sophia's blog and after her wonderful review, I knew I had to try one out myself! I decided to go for the shade 'Keep it Classy,' a plum shade perfect for autumn. I've worn it over the last few days and will be doing a little review post on it soon.

The Bourjois cream blush in the shade Nude Velvet is a firm favourite of mine, so I thought I would buy another one from the range, this time opting for 04 Sweet Cherry, a lovely pinky-brown shade. Again, I think this is a lovely shade for autumn and feel like it provides a more classy look than some of my usual peach / pale pink blushers.

After much deliberation I decided to treat myself to my favourite mascara (to date) the Yves Saint Laurent Volume Effect Faux Cils mascara (what a mouthful). The packaging is beautiful and I always feel like it makes my eye lashes look 10x better than other mascaras. It cost £24.50 and came in a set with the YSL Eye Makeup Remover, which I'm looking forward to testing.

And last but not least I picked up an oldie but goodie, the Collection Lasting Perfect Concealer. I still haven't found a concealer I like better than this and £3.99 you can't go wrong!

Have you tried any of these products?
Let me know what you think!
