October Favourites

We're nearing the end of the month so I thought I'd share some of my favourite products / items from October with you...

Crabtree & Evelyn Citron, Honey & Coriander Body Lotion*
First up I wanted to share this lovely citrus body lotion by Crabtree & Evelyn. I always find applying body lotion a bit of a faff, but this one sinks in really quickly and actually cools the skin as it does so. I'm not normally into citrus scents, but I can totally make an exception for this body lotion. It leaves the skin feeling silky and soft and is priced affordably at just £5.00.

Yves Saint Laurent Volume Effect Faux Cils Mascara
This YSL mascara is my favourite mascara (to date) and for me is definitely worth the 'high end' price tag. It's great for volumising the lashes and really opening up the eyes. It has quite a 'wet' formula if you know what I mean, but I don't mind waiting an extra couple of seconds for it to dry because the finish look really is lovely. I did a full review of this a couple of years ago and it's not too cringey (like some of my old reviews) so I've linked it here.

Bourjois Cream Blush in Sweet Cherry
I'm not going to babble on about this blush because I only reviewed it yesterday. It's come up an peachy colour in today's photos, but it's actually more of a brown toned pink. Pop over to the review post and see your yourself!

Black bow clip
This is a bit of a 'random favourite' but I have been loving this oversized black bow clip. On the days where I want to keep my hair out of my face (or when it could just do with a wash) I've been putting it up into a high bun (with the help of a hair doughnut) and securing this clip underneath. It adds a cute touch to the hairstyle and makes it look like I've made an effort, even though I really haven't.

No7 Eyeshadow Palette
This month I've really been enjoying using the No7 eyeshadow palette that I received as a gift last Christmas. It's such a pretty palette but in all honesty I only really use the two brown shades (3rd & 4th from the left in the palette) as they're the perfect 'every day' neutrals. I do love the look of the darker grey and black shades to the right of the palette, but I always end up looking like I've been punched when I try and attempt a smokey eye!

The No7 eyeshadows are fairly long wearing are super easy to blend. Unfortunately this particular palette isn't available any more, but they have a brand new range of No 7 palettes out for Christmas so I'm sure you could find something very similar. I like the look of this one.

To be honest I've been enjoying using so many different products this month, but there are some that I've featured in recent review posts so I thought I better not share them again! So instead I'll give honourable mentions to the Origin Lip Balm by Harlequin Cosmetics, the Maybelline Color Drama lip pencil (Keep it Classy) and the Cappuccino Xenca Perfection Eyeshadow.
