After ‘walkies’ Jazz and Oby’s favourite word to hear is definitely ‘treats’ so when Pure asked if they would like to try their new Meaty Sweetie treats* I knew their answer would be yes!

Worth the hype?

Maybelline Eye Eraser Concealer - £7.99 // Max Factor Creme Puff Blush (Nude Mauve) - £8.99
It's not very often that I give into beauty blogger hype! Even though I take interest in beauty products that are being raved about, I very rarely buy them myself but after hearing so many good things about the Maybelline Eraser Eye concealer and Max Factor Creme Puff Blushes, I simply couldn't resist trying them myself. But were they worth the hype?

I had very high expectations of the Maybelline Eraser Eye Concealer, so high in fact that I was initially a little disappointed. I think I was expecting it to get rid of my dark circles (which have been worse recently) completely, rather than simply helping to cover them up - probably because every beauty blogger under the sun seemed to be raving about it. After giving it the benefit of the doubt and continuing to use it, I've decided that I do actually quite like it. If applied immediately after moisturiser, it definitely helps to cover the dark circles and brighten the under eye area but don't be fooled into thinking it's a miracle worker!

For some reason when the Max Factor Creme Puff Blush arrived, I didn't think much of it. The packaging looked a bit naff and the colour a little dull - probably because I'd chosen the plainest shade 'Nude Mauve.' However upon trying it I was very pleasantly surprised! The blush is a beautiful peachy nude shade that adds a subtle yet beautiful wash of colour to the cheeks. It's definitely on the shimmery side, so I don't usually bother using a highlighter with this. To me it's a blush and highlighter all-in-one. I've been using this blush every day and it's quickly become one of my go-to spring makeup staples - so this one is definitely worth the hype!

Have you tried either of these makeup items? What did you think of them?

Meet Sherlock, The Great British Teddy Bear

Sherlock Holmes - £29.95*

For as long as I can remember, I've loved teddy bears. There's just something so comforting about them that makes them loveable, no matter how old you are. Even at 24 I still very much love teddy bears, so when The Great British Teddy Bear Company offered to send a bear of my choice, it was an opportunity I couldn't pass up on!

As a huge fan of Sherlock, there was really no contest. I had to go for the gorgeous Sherlock Holmes bear, which comes complete with a deer stalker hat and jacket, pipe and magnifying glass. He's absolutely adorable and probably the best made teddy bear I've ever come across.

Just looking at Sherlock, you can tell he's been made to a  high standard and they even ensured his safety during transportation with a little canvas drawstring bag! The company describes the teddy bears as a new type of collectable that is made to be played with. They're washable and built to last, so even if you do give one to your little one to play with, it'll still stand the test of time.

About The Great British Teddy Bear Company

For those who don’t know, The Great British Teddy Bear Company is a family run business who set out to make high quality bears at an affordable price. After seeing bears that costs hundreds of pounds in Harrods, they wanted to offer something equally as good quality yet without the ridiculous price tag.

What I like about the company is that it’s quintessentially British. All of the teddy bears are designed with British royalty, historical figures and heroes in mind. As well as the Sherlock Holmes Bear, they also have Shakespeare Bear, Veteran Bear, Roger, The Bomber Commander Bear and many more. There’s a bear for everyone out there!

Something else that really warmed my heart was the fact the handmade teddy bears are dressed by injured ex-military personnel at The Poppy Factory in the UK. The Great British Teddy Bear Company also joined forces with The Poppy Factory in 2012 to create a range of Armed Services Bears that represent the brave men and women serving our country.

You're never too old for a teddy!

If like me, you think that you're never too old for a teddy bear, head on over to the site and have a little browse. There are so many beautiful bears to choose from and I think they'd make such a special gift for loved ones young and old!

Tell me, which is your favourite Great British teddy?

Boots beauty buys

After getting endless reminders of Boots 3-for-2 makeup offer, I finally caved and treated myself to a few new bits and pieces. There were a couple of makeup items I really needed (the two concealers) but the rest were items I have had my eye on for a little while.
