As a new mummy, I want my clothes to be three things - stylish, comfortable and practical. Arthur has recently started grasping everything in sight, which has led me to cut off my long hair and put away my necklaces for the time being. With this in mind, I thought it'd be great to pick up a few embellished tops (a great necklace alternative) and M and M Direct have plenty to choose from! I'm loving this mint green top from Ted Baker - it'd be perfect for spring and ticks all of the boxes.
In the past I used to be all about the cute dresses but since becoming a mummy I don't think I've worn one! The trouble is because I'm breastfeeding, the ones in my wardrobe aren't so practical. You can't pull the neck down to get baby to boob and you certainly can't exactly put them under your dress (I'm actually chuckling at the thought of it!) But I guess if you had a button down dress, like the one above from ASOS, your problems would be solved. I'm definitely considering getting one of these for when it's a bit warmer.
I mentioned earlier that I'm worried about getting in a jeans and t-shirt style rut but that won't stop me eyeing up a new pair to add to my growing collection! I'm loving these ripped skinny jeans from F&F. They'd look great with a stripy tee and pair of white Converse - something I've had my eye on for ages. I'm just worried that they'd get so dirty!
The fifth thing on my mummy fashion wishlist is something completely out of my comfort zone and that's a pair of floral printed trousers. I think they'd make a great alternative to jeans if I'm going out and I'd still be able to pair them with a practical, plain top for feeding Arthur. The only thing I'm unsure of is the type of shoes you'd wear with them? The pair the model is wearing is lovely but there's no way I could ever walk in those kind of shoes.
Last but not least we've got something else that's a little out of my comfort zone and that's a bomber jacket. I hear from my favourite YouTubers that they're the 'in' piece - a must-have for spring / summer, so I've been eyeing a few up. This tweed one from Ted Baker at M and M Direct is my favourite so far. It's feminine without being OTT and would certainly make for a great statement piece.
Which is your favourite item on my mummy fashion wishlist?
