Buffy - Lush £5.95 for 90g |
How to use Buffy
Whereas some of Lush’s body butters simply moisturise the skin, Buffy is a two in one product as it doubles up as a fantastic exfoliator. Basically whilst you are in the shower you hold it under the water for a couple of seconds and then use it to polish away dead skin in gentle circular motions. I recommend turning the shower water off whilst you are using the product as you do not want it to get too wet or you may find it melts away too quickly. Buffy can also be used in the bath however I am a little funny about getting ‘bits’ in my bath…not so comfortable!

Exfoliating qualities
What I like about Buffy is that you can tell it is
doing its job almost immediately. I really feel like the ground rice, ground
almonds and ground aduki beans are gently exfoliating my skin, without being
too rough or irritating.
Moisturising qualities
Buffy is also great for moisturising the skin and
some may even find it too moisturising…if that’s possible?! What I mean by this
is that you almost get a layer of oil on your skin, which some people may not
like. To combat this you just need to make sure you rinse your whole body after
using the product and pat your skin gently to dry. I suffer from dry skin on my
arms and legs sometimes, so I personally like how moisturising the product is. By the end of the day, my skin still feels soft and smooth which is much better than dry and itchy. The moisturising
ingredients used in the product are cocoa butter, shea butter and lavender oil.
Final thoughts...
I have now completely used up
my Buffy body butter but I have had it since March! Buffy is not something I
would use every day, but I think it is nice to use it once every week to really
polish and perfect the skin. You can buy tins for Lush’s body butters to
preserve them, but I just placed mine on the side of the bath on a little
floral saucer (worked just as well). It costs £5.95 for a 90g bar which I think
is very reasonable, especially considering how long the product lasts. Although
I am not rushing out to purchase another Buffy bar now that I have finished
mine, I will be picking it up next time I find myself in Lush. It is a shower time
product that is definitely worth owning.

I love the sound of this, the moisturising qualities sound appealing to me. I've been using the Nivea in shower moisturiser for a little while now, and it has really helped to combat my dry skin. I don't have dry patches anymore! But I feel that I should moisturise 'properly' once a week, and as for exfoliation... I could definitely do with getting some more of that in! Two in one sounds great to me :) xx

DeleteBody Butter is great to keep on hand for all-day use. I keep a pump of it in the bathroom and use it all the time, especially after washing my hands. To get more body butter visit: www.vegantreeowl.com.au
