Sunday Scribbles #4

"My favourite thing about my home is who I share it with."
It's Sunday again! I hope you all enjoyed your extra hour in bed. I certainly did - in fact I'm still sat in bed now. I decided I was going to spend the day thinking up ideas for this little space and then perhaps binging on a box set later when the Mr gets home.

I like these little Sunday Scribbles posts to be a little reminder of some of the things I've enjoyed this week so here goes...

Family time - Yesterday I had the most perfect day with my mum, dad and our two dogs Jazz and Oby. We drove to Middleton Top in Derbyshire and went for a lovely little walk. It was a little cold and rainy, but we had our flask full of Costa coffee and tummies full of chip shop chips to keep us going. On the way back we drove through Matlock Bath and then on to Ashover where we stopped for a delicious ice cream. (Note to self: salted caramel ice cream and toffee ice cream make the most delicious combination). Ashover was such a beautiful little village, I'm going to have to go back and explore it further.

Gone Girl - Scrap everything I said about Gone Girl in my 'On My Reading List' post earlier this week. I've got to the good bit and boy is it good! It's so hard to put it down! I've got my Kindle next to me so I can pick it up and start reading it again as soon as I've finished this post.

Christmas catalogues - A funny thing to share as something I've enjoyed this week but I LOVE looking through Christmas catalogues. Buying presents for my family is my favourite thing about the festive season. The Handpicked Collection and Next catalogues both have so many AMAZING christmas gifts in this year. I can't wait to start shopping!

Before I go I just want to say a big thank you to everyone that reads this little blog. I have a little giveaway planned for you, which should be going live next week so be sure to look out for it.

Enjoy the rest of your Sunday!

  1. so glad you enjoyed yesterday we did too.xx

  2. i have to admit, I hated Gone Girl the whole way through.

    1. I think it's definitely a strange one! I was going to say you either love it or you hate it, but I have to say whilst I found it an interesting read in parts, I'm quite indifferent about it. I thought parts of it were clever, but I never really felt a connection to the characters, so I was left feeling a bit odd once it ended! xo
