Time for a catch up

Regular readers of this blog will probably have noticed that I've not blogged for nearly a week - oops! It wasn't intentional, I've just been a little busy and unfortunately that meant that I didn't have time to keep up with my posting schedule. I don't know about you but I sometimes think it's good to take a little blog break, even if it's just for a few days - you come back feeling so refreshed!

One of the reasons for my lack of posts is that I went to visit one of my best friends in Guildford over the weekend. We went to this lovely place called The Tea Terrace, which is above House of Fraser. Although it's a little pricey (£9.00 for a jacket potato - yes I'm serious!) it's a beautiful place to have lunch or afternoon tea. I adore all of the pretty teacups and love the fact they have teapots shaped like elephants. It's definitely worth a visit if you find yourself in the area.

Aside from work, I've also been busy doing a wardrobe clear out. With spring right around the corner, I thought it was about time I went through my wardrobe and removed anything that I no longer want. I feel so guilty that there's beautiful dresses in there that I've hardly ever worn, so I'm selling them on my Depop (@meganjanehunt) in hope that someone will give them the love they deserve! Here's a little preview of what's on there at the moment...

Lavish Alice Dress - Size M - £10.00 // Miss Selfridge Dress - Size 12 - £10.00 // Urban Outfitters Dress - Size M - £8.00
UK postage £2.00
Back to the blogging side of things, I've got plenty of posts coming up including my (late) February favourites, a review of one of my favourite eye products to date and an update of my current favourite lipsticks!

For now be sure to check out my friends over at China Blue's Dr. Martens competition. You've got until 12pm on Monday (9th) to enter and you could win a pair of 8 Eye boots!

Also a BIG congratulations to the lovely Carly who was the winner of my Charlotte Tilbury 600 follower giveaway. I hope you love your lipstick! Thank you to everyone that entered and has continued to read my blog. I'm amazed to now have over 700 Bloglovin followers! I know a few are likely to drop off from the giveaway but I'm hoping plenty of you stick with me to see what's in store for Seek My Scribbles over the next few months.

Lots of love,

Megan xo

  4. I'm very well thanks my lovely, hope you are too! I think my other half needs to clear out his part of the wardrobe too, it's definitely taking over my half and we can't be having that haha! xo

  5. Welcome back Megan, and congrats on the 700, that's absolutely amazing!! Can't believe a jacket potato can be sold for £9...but sometimes it's always good to treat yourself to these nice places :p x

  6. You need to put him straight haha! x

  7. Breaks are always a good thing, gives you more inspiration I think. Well that is what I tell myself at least!
